Knits on knits on knits
Favorite color palette of 2012
I made one inch pins and tiny button earrings out of my favorite shirt. AND said shirt is still intact in one wearable piece.
How did I do it? GUESS, JUST GUESS.
Inspired by Katamari Damacy (again)
Thank you thank you, King of the Cosmos. Good luck has been on my side & I need to continue to be good in return.

IT'S THE SUPER CUTE FACES.
#instacloth
I'm working on a series of trendy camera app imagery tshirts.
They are basic white tees with (perhaps an overly) filtered image on the chest. My inspiration comes from the trends I saw while visiting AU during the summer months. The first time I spied one of these tees in Melbourne I was convinced that apps now have the functionality to Save To Tshirt. Woah, our iPhones are revolutionizing fashion too! ::updates status and posting pic to Path::
The shirts are called #instacloth
The first shirt, Sunday, is for sale by Redbubble.

Finally importing my images and findings from Australia.
And by finally I mean "surely but slowly"…

Color of 2012!
Tangerine Tango, Pantone 17-1463. With a side of teal, because everyone loves contrast.

Congrats on your happy and healthy new year!*
* despite the timestamp, it is 1/1/2012 here in the southern hemisphere.
(Yes, I am in the future. Now excuse me while I joy ride in my rocket car.)
Color & type in the city
Found at Myer, my second favorite palette for fall.
Found at grill'd, interesting type choice.

I shall call it Pronk, or Still Life in a Fancy Kitchen.

Filters (I mean, camera apps) seem to be all the rage and are making news:
Hipstermatic in SF
Instagraming social network
Sadly, I have used my Nikon a totally of once so far while on holiday. Now my iPhone 4S is ruling my photography life, I'm editing with Camera+.app and sharing with Batch (pretty much due to laziness and/or convenience). Today I went hybrid and played with Hipster.app and added some dazzle with Photoshop (the IRL/not-iOS-version).
Auslandia
My job was to decorate for the holiday lunch. Chopped some arms off the tree. Stuck birds on them. BAM — instant table art.
I made three cat related gifts for Christmas. THREE.
1. 11x17" print of Democats '12. Because "if you're not part of the solution, Marge, you're part of the problem!"
2. Set of cat buttons, made from an old knit shirt. Though I quickly learned that stretching printed knits over buttons results in neurotic cat faces. I'll stick to woven fabric for the next batch.
3. Cat Shrinky Drink charms. I drew this cat a few years ago. Recently found the drawing in an old sketchbook, scanned it, edited out the coffee spills, and printed onto inkjet Shrinky Dink film.
Holiday tradition from the Sedaris family.
Give this a listen!!! A short hi-larious piece from my favorite on my not-so-favorite holiday:

Santaland Diaries
The full story is published in Holidays on Ice, a small book of seven or so of his stories. I always end up giving it as a gift to people who like funny. So if you're also hi-larious and I like you, go check your mailbox now for a small package.
I'll wait.
